The dish ran away with the spoon

We are learning to eat with a spoon! Well, kind of. Nov 2007

Halloween

This year for halloween Gabe went trick or treating for Mom & Dad some candy. I think the neighbors were onto the fact we had trained him to look for Reese's cups, so luckily he was cute enough that they didn't care. 2007 Halloween - Firefighters unite! 2006 Halloween (18 lbs and 8 teeth ago!)

What's a blog?

Good question...trying to figure that out myself! So little Gabe is 15 months old now, and his ability to get in trouble grows proportionally to his ability to make me laugh. He's learned a few words, "shoe" being the favorite, and I find it odd that he's picked up on words that aren't really that common in our house, like: 1. shoe: after going barefoot all summer, Gabe decided that this new contraption should be vocabulary word numero uno. not, say, bottle, which we say about 20 times a day, but "shoe". 2. yellow: come on, if you knew 7 words, wouldn't yellow be one? 3. shut: as in open and shut, not shut up. obviously i don't talk to my son like i do my employees. 4. uh-oh: not sure if this is technically a word (where's that Webster guy when I need him?) but this started out as a cute reaction to accidently dropping something. Now its a catch-all for throwing, dropping, and threatening to throw or drop something. As in: "Uh-oh!", pause, then throw bottle at Mommy's head. This weekend he also found it useful as an insult. As in, "Look at Mommy's new haircut!". "Uh-oh."
