We're Home!

We brought Riley home on Monday afternoon to a wonderfully clean and decorated house (Thanks Ryan and Mom!)...which of course lasted about all of an hour! Her first couple of nights have been great. Monday night she slept from 10-12:30 and then from 2-7:30!! We couldn't believe it! Then last night she slept from 10-1, 1:30-4:30, and 5:30-10:00! So absolutely no compliants on the newborn sleep habits; the only problem is the combination of her sleep habits and her brother's, as right after I crawl back into bed from her second feeding, Gabe creeps into our room. We can send him back to bed until his little night light turns to "sunshine", but that's around 6:30. At that point Ryan or my Mom get up with him, but he spends the next hour or two battling with them to come see Mommy and Baby Sister. Yes, you heard that right, he actually wants to see his sister now. Not enough to hold her or feed her, but he's interested enough that he looks for her and wants to sit beside me when I feed her so we can read a book "all together". So, call off the therapists...he's getting there!
Gabe's quote of the week (upon watching me nurse Riley for the 1st time): "Oh no, Mama, she's trying to eat your tummy!"
Here are some new pictures from Riley's homecoming. Enjoy!
